Although modern gymnastics showcases impressive technical feats, it lacks the fluidity and gracefulness seen in Nadia's routine and in those of other athletes during this era of the Olympics. There's something to be said for the flow of a routine where the gymnast is graded for the coherence of their performance rather than a sequence of high-point stunts separated by pauses with wobbling and hand movements to mask balance issues.

Good routine, but not a perfect 10 IMO. The bent arms on re-catch after the Jaegar was quite noticeable.

Not to be "that guy" but she took a medium sized hop forward on the landing. Clearly not a perfect routine. I remember people saying that when I was younger and I thought they were just haters. Looking back, they were correct.

I don’t understand how she got a 10 when she took a little hop on the landing. Nothing against Nadia. Love her ❤️

Think the equipment has evolved; a modern gymnast would probably struggle to do some of the difficulty they do today on equipment they used in the past. The vault is completely different for a start. It is quite amazing to see the evolution though.

Offcourse that people nowadays make harder exercises, its normal! Like all technology of 21st century is better than 20th's! But SHE was that moment in history who raised the bar so high for others to achieve and pushed other generations beyond the limits!

That was incredible. The 70’s and 80’s were the most impressive I think. I do wonder what hitting the low bar with their hips like that does to their pelvis though. I wonder how these women are now physically 😳🫣
